Cuyutlan is located 30 minutes South of Manzanillo past a freshwater lagoon and coconut groves. Learn how sea salt is mined while visiting the historic Cuyutlan Salt Museum sponsored by the University of Colima. Witness the local efforts to preserve wildlife such as iguanas, crocodiles and sea turtles at the Cuyutlan Turtle Sanctuary. With a bit of good luck we will be able to free newly hatched baby sea turtles into the Pacific Ocean. Ride on a panga  and get prepared to discover the best of Palo Verde lagoon's amazing flora and fauna. Crocodiles, iguanas, exotic birds and many other creatures can be seen at any moment. Right after, a delicious lunch will be served in one of the rustic restaurants, located at “El Paraiso” fishermen village on the remarkable black sand beach.
